1-2 hours per week. Students are encouraged to practice the techniques and forms on their own for improved retention and growth. Additionally, each belt will need to complete the "Home Rule" aspect. This will be explained in class as each belt has a different home rule. Also parents will receive a description via email.Assessment
Students will be evaluated for readiness throughout the 8 weeks and the last day of class will be the formal live test. Passing the test advances the student to the next belt.Class Experience
Welcome! This class will focus on the orange belt curriculum of Tae Kwon Do. Classes meet for 8 weeks, 3x a week. Students will learn kicks, punches, blocks, stances and forms (poomsae) for their belt level. At the end of the course, students will be tested on what they have learned. Upon passing the test, students will have progressed onto the next belt level. Parental Guidance
An area large enough for the student to perform stretches/kicking and moving around without any tripping hazards or breakable objects nearby will be needed.
Supply List
I will email a curriculum guide on the first day of class. The guide will outline everything each student needs to know for their belt level. Additionally, a white v-neck Tae Kwon Do uniform (with a white collar) and an orange belt are also required. Students may use a uniform or belt that they already own.
