This course will look at the tactical nuclear weapons that were tested, deployed, and ready to be used during the Cold-War. This class specifically will delve into the Davy Crockett Recoilless Rifle, the M388 nuclear round, and the backpack nukes that could have been deployed in a real-world operation by the Green Light Teams. Additionally, there will be an attached note taking document with pictures to help the student learn and retain the information. The student may download the document and use it to take notes during the class. Also, there will be two short videos about the Davy Crockett test and about the Green Light Teams to stimulate discussion points in the class. The desire of the teacher is to engage the students with questions and dialogue to help them further learn about the material. There will be no assigned homework in this class and the teaching style will be interactive discussion using power point.
