Tackle Those Pesky -ar Verbs in Spanish

Students will learn to conjugate verbs with -ar endings in a standard verb chart.  They will also learn the basic subject pronouns as they prepare a verb chart and what nouns are equal to those pronouns.  They will be given the most commonly used -ar verbs to make agreement with.  They will give each other a subject and have to conjugate a verb to go with it.  They will take turns doing this with each other and with the teacher.  The first part of the class will be 5-7 minutes going over subject pronouns and their location on the conjugation chart.  Then we will discuss what is singular and what is plural.  Then we will fill in the endings in a formulaic fashion.  After that, the students will be given several -ar verbs to write into the chart, changing the endings appropriately.  Then they will be given subjects and verbs and be expected to mentally make the conjugation and write it on paper to share when all are done.
