Students will learn to conjugate verbs with -ar endings in a standard verb chart. They will also learn the basic subject pronouns as they prepare a verb chart and what nouns are equal to those pronouns. They will be given the most commonly used -ar verbs to make agreement with. They will give each other a subject and have to conjugate a verb to go with it. They will take turns doing this with each other and with the teacher. The first part of the class will be 5-7 minutes going over...

I have a BA in Spanish and Latin American Studies; am certified to teach Spanish for middle and high school, and have 20 years of teaching expertise.
Any homework will be based upon the student’s desire to maintain what they have learned. Recommendations will be given on how to work on these skills and potentially expand them. This class will be considered a prerequisite for the class on -er/-ir verbs which will come next.
Paper, writing utensils, index cards if possible.
