Class Experience

Learners will learn various no sew techniques to upcycle old t-shirts by cutting and weaving cool patterns on them. No sewing is required!
I've been sewing and crafting since I was 5. Oddly, I love cutting hair, grass, fabric and paper etc.. For some reason I love the sound and feel of cutting things with scissors! T-shirt cutting is a whole new level of cutting fun!
Learners will need to find or purchase one t-shirt for this class each week.
Learners will need for each class: ✂🔸 One t-shirt (Doesn't matter if it's cotton or a cotton blend) ✂🔸 A pair of sewing shears ( I prefer Ginger brand) or a brand new pair of sharp scissors. They will not be able to cut jersey with an old dull pair. ✂🔸 Tailors chalk or regular chalk for dark fabrics ✂🔸 Pencil or dark chalk for light fabrics ✂🔸 Ruler or some sort of straight edge
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Parents you may need to help them figure out which t-shirts they can cut up. lol This is a super addicting and fun craft so make sure you hide your favorite shirts! Some of the shredded designs can get a bit sexy, so I'll be steering clear of those.

I will be sharing some Youtube videos for different t-shirt cutting designs. You will not need a subscription for it.
