Beginner - Intermediate Level
"Tools of Poetry," offers a comprehensive exploration into the art of poetry over three weeks, with 45-minute sessions each week. The curriculum covers an array of poetic devices including simile, metaphor, rhythm, repetition, imagery, and alliteration, among others. Teaching methods are highly interactive and engaging, utilizing PowerPoint presentations, written assignments, and a variety of interactive techniques. Students can expect an enriching learning experience that includes lectures, slides, video clips, and lively discussions. There's a strong emphasis on student interaction, both with the instructor and among peers, facilitated through in-class messaging and opportunities to showcase their work. This course is designed to be both informative and immersive, ensuring a deep understanding and appreciation of poetry.
