This beginner friendly Valentine nail art class will teach students a nail painting technique for a smooth coat of polish and then how to create a beginner friendly Valentine heart for animated, holiday ready nails.
Class experience
Class will start with an overview of basic nail vocabulary and a look at the printable attached nail art practice worksheet. Next, students will learn a technique to create a smooth base coat. We will then go over a technique for creating animated Valentine hearts. Students will be encouraged to be creative and make the artwork their own. Students will learn basic nail vocabulary and a technique for creating a smooth base coat of polish. They will learn a beginner friendly technique to create hearts and will use their personal creativity through use of color and the techniques taught to create personal, unique art on their nails!
Trained Nail Technician
1 file available upon enrollmentWork Space Set Up: *Something to protect work surface (such as a paper towel) * Small folded square of tin foil * Paper plate (optional but great for keeping supplies together) * Paper towels, baby wipes, Q-tips for quick clean up (optional but helpful) Paint Supplies: * Polish for base nail color (I used white.) * Polish color of choice for hearts (I used bright pink and metallic red.) * Black (or a dark color) Nail Polish * Back of a watercolor paintbrush or similar sized dotting tool * 1-2 toothpicks or similar sized dotting tool * Attached PDF practice worksheet printed out (optional)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Because of the possibly messy nature of nail polish it is advised to have an adult somewhat near if needed. Also, please make sure polish bottles are loosened and can be opened by students for use during class time. Please be aware of any allergies to any of the nail polish ingredients before using.
