Class experience
This class is for learners who want to be creative while making "no bake" [and some bake] delicious, fun-to-make desserts, sweets, treats and other surprises. No previous baking experience required. This is a hands-on baking class, loaded with good treats to bake and eat and lots of fun learning. The teacher will demonstrate different desserts and treats, using real ingredients as learners follow directions and, hands-on, make their very own treats to prepare and share. They'll learn about...
Learners will follow teacher instructions, follow step-by-step directions, practice listening skills, learn math measurements and terms, clean up their cooking space, discuss creative changes they would make to the recipe if any, and build confidence as they complete their dessert, sweets and treats and share them with family and friends. We're just going to have a lot of FUN!
I have experience teaching children from 4 years of age to seniors, all subjects. I've been cooking since I was a girl watching my mom cook and bake and helping her in the kitchen, learning from the best. I enjoy cooking and sharing "how to" cook, bake, and grill with family members and friends. I've been know to prepare full meals, desserts included, and deliver them to family and friends at holiday times especially [Thanksgiving, Christmas, birthdays] and other occasions throughout the year. I've often been asked "when are you going to start your own cooking classes?" Who better to begin with than young learners and bakers!
Homework Offered
Some desserts, sweets and treats will need to be chilled in the refrigerator for a longer period of class duration time. Learners will be shown finished desserts with decorating ideas, but each learner will use their creativity and imagination and decorate their dessert once it's fully chilled. Learners should post pictures of their completed project for all to see. Enjoy the delicious "no-bake" desserts and treat and share them with family and friends.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
