In this class students will learn how to make several popular dessert and sweet dips. Whether you are getting ready for a party or a cookout, or just want a yummy snack, these dips will make you a standout star. In this 5-day camp we will make unicorn dip, mint chocolate chip dip, s’mores dip, lemon cream and key lime pie dip, dessert hummus, Nutella cheesecake, peanut butter cup dip, and chocolate churro dip. We will discuss proper techniques for preparing all the ingredients, kitchen safety, and talk about all the things you can eat the dips with.
Day 1: Mint Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Dip and Unicorn dip. We will discuss the importance of prepping your ingredients before we begin making the dips and the difference between flavors and extracts.
Day 2: Key Lime Pie Dip and Lemon Cream Dip. We will talk about potential substitutes for ingredients and the importance of letting flavors develop.
Day 3: Dessert Hummus. We will make Chocolate hummus, snickerdoodle hummus, and cake batter hummus. We will discuss ingredient alternatives, various other kinds of dessert hummus, and the difference between canned and dried chickpeas.
Day 4: Chocolate churro dip and S’more’s dip. Today will be hot dips and we will be discussing oven safety.
Day 5: Nutella cheesecake and Peanut Butter Cup Cheesecake. We will also wrap up any questions and go over everything learned during the week.
If students have any other dips they would like to make, please reach out to me before class starts and I will do my best to incorporate it! If you like savory dips, check out my camp on delicious savory dips. This class is also offered for older ages.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi! I’m Yasmine Prasad-Bogart. •
I have my Bachelor’s in English Language and Literature from Southern New Hampshire University as well as an A.A.S. in small business management and Equine science from Cazenovia College and I also spent two years studying math and English education at SUNY Cortland. I am also a member of Sigma Tau Delta, the international English Honors society and am currently enrolled in the MFA program at SNHU for Creative Writing which includes the education certificate for teaching writing online.
I have several years tutoring experience, both with the Liberty Partnerships Program, tutoring at-risk and STEAM teens, as well as private tutoring in all subjects including mathematics, Spanish, science, reading and writing. I’ve coached youth sports, including cheerleading, soccer, and baseball and taught horseback riding to all ages and ran summer and school break programs. I am a homeschooling mom to my two youngest children; we are heading into our fourth year this fall and I am very active in several online homeschool communities. Just like I want my students to be lifelong learners, I am always looking for new things to learn so I can grow.
As the mom of three kids with ADHD and other issues that often need extra support, I pride myself on working with my students to help them excel in all ways. This can be accomplished by teaching with a variety of methods, including visual and audio learning styles, kinesthetic learning styles, and more. Being flexible in learning and teaching methods is something I feel is key to a positive learning environment. As a teacher I strive to listen to my students so I can always find the best method to work with them. I feel if students have a teacher who loves her subject and is passionate about it, they will be passionate about it as well!
I offer a multitude of classes, particularly in Literature, poetry, and writing as well as other subjects. Students in my class are encouraged to participate in open discussion and to ask as many questions as they can possibly come up with! I also use a variety of visual aid such as presentations and videos, whatever will work best for presenting my material and engaging the students.
When I’m not teaching, I can often be found with either a book or a video game controller in my hand or in the kitchen cooking for family and friends.
