Beginner - Intermediate Level
This beginner-level Swahili language class on Outschool is designed to introduce students to the Swahili language, its basic structures, pronunciation, and vocabulary. Through live, interactive sessions, students will learn foundational Swahili skills, including greetings, everyday conversation, and useful vocabulary, while being actively engaged with the teacher and peers. By the end of the course, students will be able to confidently hold basic conversations in Swahili and understand the essential vocabulary for daily communication. I use different teaching styles. 1) Interactive Teaching Style: I believe in a hands-on, engaging approach where students actively participate in the learning process. The lessons will be filled with opportunities to practice speaking Swahili out loud, respond to prompts, and work with peers in real-time. I will model the language for students, using simple sentences and encouraging them to repeat and practice. Role-Playing & Conversations: Students will participate in role-play scenarios where they practice greetings, asking questions, and holding short conversations with me and their peers.
Learning Goals
By the end of the course, students will be able to confidently hold basic conversations in Swahili and understand the essential vocabulary for daily communication.
