Welcome to Swahili for Beginners 102. This is a year-long Swahili class broken down to 8 months from Swahili 101-108. Kiswahili is the one of the easiest African Language to learn for English speakers because it has no lexical tones. This course is for beginners with no prior background. Anyone can start with phonics and progress with to reading comprehension, listening and communicating with others. The class starts with the phonics, which is the foundation, then progresses to salutations, colors, shapes, numbers and simple phrases. We meet twice a week. Day 1: Lesson of the week. Day 2: Practice listening and speaking. There is homework for each day. Supplemental videos are available for practice and doing homework.
