The Sustainability Summer Camp is a 5 day camp full of learning and fun! Each day of the camp focuses on the different letters of EARTH. This class is taught in English.
Students will increase their empathy for sustainability through engineering, storytelling, coding, STEAM and life skills.
A computer capable of running Minecraft as well as a Java Minecraft username. Please set up a parental Google Account so that students can make submissions via Google Forms.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Parents are required to create a Google Account for students to be able to complete an ongoing self-assessment and provide screenshots. Google Forms will give the student to continuously update and provide evidence for their self-assessments, which will be promptly verified by the instructor. A pdf report card will be available at the end of the week that will include doughnut charts of student progress, instructor-verified assessments, and screenshots of their learning story in sequence. We also use Padlet as a course outline, a place to receive daily announcements, and sometimes an interactive earth map, so a Padlet account will be required. Lastly, a Minecraft Java account is needed to access our multiplayer server on TheRenewal.Earth where students may access our public bungee Lobby and receive guidance to join their private class server.
