In this fun, one time course, students will learn about regrowing vegetables from the grocery store (indoors or in the garden), as well as collaboratively discuss other kitchen waste reduction strategies! These ecofriendly gardening strategies encourage young folks to get more involved in the kitchen and see sustainable possibilities at the grocery store!

Did you know you can regrow celery, green onions, and more - from scraps?! In this fun class, students will learn about regrowing veggies inside and out, from grocery store scraps! This is a great class to encourage kids to help out in the kitchen. We'll collaboratively discuss waste reduction strategies for food prep, like using broccoli stalks to make coleslaw.
