Description

Class Experience

In this one-time class, students will learn specific animal defenses used to avoid predators. This class will use the Nearpod educational platform, in conjunction with the Outschool platform, to give students the opportunity to be hands-on and interact with myself, as well as other students through on screen drawings, 3-D animal viewing, videos, and games! If possible, students will need a second device (monitor, computer, tablet, or phone) or they will need the ability to split-screen one...

A PDF explaining how to use Nearpod will be posted within the classroom. A link to the lesson will be provided the day of the class.

Informal assessments may be provided upon request.

40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

Students will be using both the Outschool platform and an educational webiste called Nearpod to access the lesson. This is best done on two separate screens or devices, but can work on one screen using a split-screen capability. The link for the Nearpod lesson will be provided within the classroom on the day of the lesson. Instructions for how to set up the student's device(s) will also be provided.
