Class Experience
Salvador Dali called his paintings 'hand-painted dream photographs'... After introductions we will review how to take turns in the ZOOM classroom. The materials list will be gone over to insure all learners are ready for the class. The class will have a short discussion about dreams. Dreams don't always make sense and can be pretty crazy sometimes. (like a person flying around like a bird) Surrealism is the art of the unreal. This style is easily conveyed with collage and mixed media....
-For learners to participate in discussions and share prior knowledge -To learn and understand Surrealism -To create a Surrealistic mixed media collage -And to have fun
I have been teaching children from ages birth to young teens for 30 years. My degree is in Studio Art and I'm certified in Early Childhood Education. I taught 3 year old preschool classes, first grade at international schools overseas, and I was a nanny for the same family for 22 years. My whole career has been centered on working with children and I have incorporated my passion for art throughout that whole time.

9x12 Drawing paper Crayons, pastels, markers, colored pencils (whatever the learner would like to use) Old magazines, newspapers, or anything to cut pictures out of Scissors Glue
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Learner will be using scissors and glue.
