Paul Gauguin was a famous French artist who liked to use unusual colors in his paintings of everyday things, people and nature. Students in this class will learn about the artist, critique some of his famous works and discuss the use of colors in impressionist works of art. 

After a short presentation and video, we next experiment with colors by mixing our own colors and painting a simple landscape. Students will also learn the color wheel and how to use it in art and design.
