🌊 Surfing into Pre-K: A Fun-Filled Summer Learning Adventure! 🏄‍♂️

What will be taught?
In Surfing into Pre-K, young learners will build essential early childhood skills in literacy, math, science, and motor development while exploring a fun beach-themed curriculum. We will focus on letter recognition, counting, shapes, patterns, fine and gross motor skills, and social-emotional learning to help children feel confident as they transition into Pre-K.

What topics will we cover?

Letters & Phonics: Learning three new letters each week through interactive activities.
Math Skills: Counting, sorting, patterns, and simple measurement.
Science Exploration: Fun, hands-on beach and ocean-themed STEM activities.
Motor Skills: Tracing, cutting, coloring, and movement-based games.
Social Skills: Taking turns, listening, and engaging in group activities.
Creative Expression: Crafts, storytelling, music, and movement.
How is the class structured?
Each session includes a mix of interactive lessons, hands-on activities, and guided play:

Welcome & Warm-Up – Beach-themed song, movement, or game.
Letter & Number of the Day – Introduction with hands-on practice.
Storytime & Discussion – Engaging read-aloud and themed conversation.
Activity Time – Hands-on learning through crafts, STEM, or sensory play.
Wrap-Up & Review – Fun recap game or goodbye song.

I use a play-based, interactive teaching style that blends storytelling, music, and hands-on activities. Lessons will be engaging, with colorful visuals, movement-based learning, and multisensory activities to cater to different learning styles.

Lesson 1:
Intro to Letters A, B, C and Color Blue
 Students will learn the sounds and letter recognition. Students will also learn about the color blue and name things that are blue
