This class is designed to help older students organize their ideas and focus their attention on organizing their thoughts about a topic and creating a well organized, extended paragraph. Each class will have a different topic to focus on. Students will learn about proper paragraph structure and sentence fluency. They will organize their thoughts using the 4 Square Method. Students will complete the organizer, write a rough draft, and complete a final copy of the extended paragraph. We will...
Students will learn how to organize an extended and supported paragraph.
Students will be completing, editing, and rewriting the paragraph/paragraphs that was/were started in class.
Students will need to attend class with paper or a notebook, a printed copy of the Organizer, and a pencil.
Learner progress will be assessed through class participation and paragraph completion.
40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
