In Super Kids Singing Club, students will come together to learn about their voice and how to sing their best! The class will begin with a short greeting then we will jump right into a singing game to begin to warm-up our voices and bodies! After that, we will learn some vocal exercises and/or vocal techniques. We will cover a vast variety of topics in this section of class including but not limited too: pitch, tempo, breath support, singing vowels, open mouth space, voice parts (Soprano, Alto, Tenor et al.), rhythm, head voice/chest voice, and so much more! Then we are going to get into our song of the week. Each week we will practice a new song which may include Disney songs, pop songs, or musical theatre songs. Learners are welcome to submit suggestions to the teacher for new songs! First, we will go through the words of the song. The lyrics will be provided in pdf form before class so the learners have it easily available on paper or on screen. After that we will start to learn how to sing the song together. Depending on the number of students in class, learners may need to mute their microphones during this section. Students will be asked if they would like to demonstrate what they have learned by themselves. Each student will receive this chance but it is optional. No learner is ever forced to sing in front of other and learners are always welcome to mute their sounds if that makes them feel more comfortable singing. Finally, we will sing the song together in a sing-a-long format. I aim to sing it two times in the sing-a-long format, but depending on time it could be less or more. Here is a list of songs we will be focusing on each week: June 5 - 9: Dance Monkey by Tones and I June 12 - 16: Flowers by Miley Cyrus June 19 - 23: Made You Look by Megan Trainor June 26 - 30: We Don't Talk About Bruno from Encanto July 3 - 7: Happy by Pharrell Williams July 10 - 14: Can’t Stop This Feeling by Justin Timberlake July 17 - 21: The Climb by Miley Cyrus July 24 - 28: Drivers License by Olivia Rodrigo July 31 - August 1: True Colors from Trolls Songs will always be child-appropriate. Kidz Bop Version will be used if needed. Though this is an ongoing course, this class content does not build off of the previous lessons. Because of this, you may join or leave this class at any time. This class will renew on Sunday, so parents will not be charged if they remove themselves before the Sunday of that week.
