This is a fun and engaging class that helps students learn how to write an interesting story. There is a lot of discussion and interaction in the group each day. Students are encouraged to participate in the discussions and brainstorm ideas together. We will use positive language to support each other in the writing process. Each student will write their own stories. There will be time in class each day for students to write down ideas and begin creating stories. Students may choose to...
Students will: - Strengthen their writing skills. - Learn new vocabulary words. - Learn how to map out and plan a story. - Gain confidence with presenting and public speaking.
Students may work outside of class to complete or improve their daily writing assignments if they wish.
Students should bring paper and pencils for writing.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
I will assess each student’s writing abilities and their growth throughout the course through observation.
2 hours 30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
