This camp is calling all Math Superheroes! Are you ready to suit up and take on the problems of the world? In this multi day superhero class, learners will use tools at home to become superhero problem solvers. Learners will review how to solve multi digit addition math problems and then put their learning to the test. They will listen to a few problems given by other Superheroes and get to work to solve those problems. Superheroes will use their resources to help find answers to three and four digit math problems. This class is to review and practice solving math word problems that are multi digit (three and four digit) addition. This class encourages learners to use tools around them to work through each problem and help Superheroes find the answers! Are you ready to take on the challenge?

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello parents and guardians! My name is Rebekah Smith and I live in Phoenix, Arizona, USA! I received my B.A. Degree in Elementary Education from Arizona State University and since becoming a classroom teacher, I have also received my Masters of Education. Learning through fun allows learners to excite their interest and develop skills including fine and gross motor skills, become stronger problem-solvers, and build positive self-esteem. Over the last year, I have transitioned to becoming a full time online ESL teacher and have added to my list of passions by extending my eager to educate and have fun with learners from all over the world.
My classes will always be engaging, interactive, and allow learners to navigate their own learning experience. We will play together, we will grow together, and we will most definitely have some fun together! Who doesn't love fun?
I offer a variety of classes as I enjoy any opportunity to be creative. I plan to showcase this creativity with teaching subjects of curiosity and introducing learners to new skills through exciting classrooms.
I am looking forward to getting to know your learner and hope our time together can spark their imagination and joy for learning.
-Mrs. Rebekah
CLASS EXPECTATIONS/MUTING:
I do my best to encourage participation from learners enrolled in my classes. I prefer to allow learners to stay unmuted, but I understand that there are instances where learners need to be muted due to background noise that cannot be prevented. Parents, please feel free to mute your learners at your discretion.
As the teacher, there are also instances where I will need to utilize the mute function. If there is background noise that may be distracting to other learners enrolled in the class, or if the learner is eager to burst out thoughts often, I will advise the learner that they are being muted to limit distractions.
At the beginning of each class, I will also advise the learners of my expectations. To be respectful of all learners and to give everyone a chance to participate. It is important to myself and others that learners be respectful of others in the classroom and allow every learner a chance to share/answer. I will use visual and verbal cues in an effort to remind young learners of these expectations.
SIBLINGS:
If you have more than one learner enrolled in the class, each learner that wants to participate must be enrolled to be fair to other students participating. Enrolled siblings are always welcome to share a screen during class.
CLASS CANCELLATIONS:
If a class has not met the minimum number of enrollments, it is subject to being canceled. I will send a message asking if you'd like a transfer to another date & time or full refund if the class is canceled. Automatic refunds are issued for no responses after original class start time.
