Thank you for your interest in Superhero Show-and-Tell Social Club! My name is Kristi Robertson, but learners call me Mrs. Kristi. Our club meets weekly for 25 minutes per class. Each class is independent of all the others and the content does not build from the previous class, so your child may come and go at any time during this ongoing class. Our class time is fully focused on socializing as learners will be led through a superhero-themed discussion. I will prompt discussion ideas and topics and will allow learners to speak and interact with one another. If the discussion becomes quiet, I will continue prompting learners in further discussion. With our fun superhero theme, though not required, learners are welcomed and encouraged to bring their superhero toys and/or wear superhero costumes. Towards the end of the class I will lead learners in taking turns showing their show-and-tell toys. During socialization, Class will be structured as follows:

1. Greetings
2. Ice breaker question
3. Socialization
4. Show-and-Tel
5. Goodbyes

I teach and lead learners in an inclusive, patient, and engaging environment. My teaching style is to make sure each learner has fun while developing their social interaction skills. My primary goal is to lead each learner in making friends, polite socialization, taking turns, and empowering them to empower others in all of their different superhero strengths! Please reassure your child that they may speak in class if they'd like to, but they are not required to speak if they don't feel comfortable doing so. The club is designed to develop learners' social skills, so it could take a shy child a bit of time to warm up to feeling comfortable with speaking to others.

Following is the outline the course will follow for the first few weeks of class:

1. Week of 10/10/22 -- What's your superhero name?
2. Week of 10/17/22 -- What's your super power?
3. Week of 10/24/22 -- How do you use your super powers?
4. Week of 10/31/22 -- What is your superhero fuel?

I can't wait to meet your child in my online classroom for some superhero socialization fun!

Thank you!
Mrs. Kristi
