Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! I am Teacher Colleen! I am honored to have this opportunity to teach your child! I am passionate about history, reading, writing, and travel. My husband and I have a teenage daughter and one cuddle bug dog named Hope.

I have been an educator for almost 20 years. Currently, I teach 4th and 5th grade advanced content in English Language Arts. I begin my day teaching students online in China. I earned a master’s degree in teaching and I am certified in regular education, special education, gifted, and STEM education. I am also working on my specialist's degree in curriculum.

It does not matter if I am teaching students online across the world or in my brick and motor classroom, the common denominator is connections. These authentic connections lead to more student engagement and learning. I hope that from my courses, I can spark a passion for reading, history, and writing in your child. There are so many fun and exciting things to learn about! I can’t wait to share them with you!
