Your favorite superheroes need your help! We will practice counting and moving like our favorite superheroes to help them defeat their villains! Hulk smash 5 times! Run like The Flash for 10 seconds! Students will be shown different numbers 1-10 and different superheroes that they know. Students will see the superhero pictures in a ten frame. We will name the superhero, practice counting, and move just like that superhero a certain number of times. Students will be encouraged to count along with me as we do that specific number of superhero movements. We will fly like Owlette from the PJ Masks, shoot webs like Spiderman, and so much more! This class is a fun and exciting for your learners as they practice counting, identifying numbers written in standard form and in ten frames, and getting some of their energy out, as well! I will move along with students as we count and move to practice the numbers 1 - 10. Students will move and be encouraged to count along with me as we shoot Spiderman's webs, and swing Wonder Woman's lasso. This is a great way for students to practice counting along with movement, which can help to keep the kids engaged as they practice counting and one to one correspondence. This class is great for preschool students or students who are getting ready for school. Learning to count from 1-10, identify numbers 1-10, and using a ten-frame are great skills to help your learner with kindergarten readiness. Learners that already know how to count from 1-10 are welcome too, as recognizing numbers in ten frames and standard form are important skills that we will practice in this class. Your learner will be encouraged to learn or review as they have fun moving and helping their favorite superheroes! Students are encouraged to take class in a place where they will be able to move as they count! This class will utilize a lot of movement we we count together and help to rescue the superheroes! As a bonus, after class students will be provided with a link to practice putting their superhero symbols into a ten frame with Boom Cards! Just click the link and student can practice dragging a specific number of superhero items into a ten frame, for extra practice. (This is an optional, fun practice tool). Students can feel free to come to class dressed as their favorite superhero. I will be dressed as one, too! I am excited to meet, count, and move, with your little superhero!
