Let’s learn about Study skills, organization, and time management. In this multi-day class we will walk through the steps of organization, time management, and study skills to help your student being successful at school. With the school year starting back after many students going virtually, help your student manage their time, work, and proceed with great study skills. This is a great class for all students as well as those with ADHD or a learning disabilty. Topics covered: 1. What are study skills and how do they help us? 2. Why do we need to be organized and organization strategies. 3. Why do we need to know to make an outline and summaries and strategies. 4. What are other study skills we can learn: Flash cards, websites, and study groups 5. What is time management, and how can I manage my time better? Students will be given fun activities before and after class to keep the learning process continuing outside the classroom. There will also be a print out and list of supplies the student will need for this class. This allows children to engage with adults in learning, remember everything that was discussed, and creates meaningful memories for our learners. The activities are not mandatory! They are just fun ways for learners to remember what we did in class that session. Class will be hands on learning with learning how to use all the skills listed above, plus powerpoints and hands on examples. WHAT PARENTS/GROWN-UPS CAN EXPECT: Hands on Learning and most importantly having fun! The hands on learning is a great way to keep your child engaged. WHAT MAKES THIS PROGRAM DIFFERENT: - Hands-on and visual learning aids - Expanding knowledge of study skills, organization, and time management. -More than just surface learning an organization class from a former special education teacher. -The joy of learning together Lastly, I am the mother to 3 daughters, a homeschool mom, and a former special education teacher. I wanted to make classes that I wish I had for my girls while homeschooling. These skills have helped my oldest transition from homeschooling to the brick and mortar school setting. I am so excited to start this journey of being successful with you. **if you don't see a time that fits your schedule, please select "Request Another Time," so I can try to accommodate your preference. Please note, I offer large class sizes to assist and accommodate as many families as possible! :)
