Description

Class Experience

The students will be able to write the sight words of focus each week.
The students will be able to identify the meaning of each sight word, or describe it in their own words.
The students will be able to match each of the sight words through the use of a matching game.
The students will be able to create sentences using each of the sight words with support.
The students will practice three sight words per week using flashcards. They will also be asked to practice writing out each of the sight words in order to make sure they are spelled correctly.
This class will incorporate Nearpod, so another device would be helpful. Whiteboard and marker or paper and pencil
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
  • Nearpod
The students will be assessed through their participation in class. I will ask them to try and read each of the words and use the words in sentences of their own when possible.
25 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
