Class Experience

The misadventure, suspense, and intrigue continue! Join us for this fun and casual book club where we meet every week for four weeks to discuss a new novel: Books, 5, 6, 7, and 8 in the Spy School series by Stuart Gibbs. Together we will follow Ben Ripley and his friends deeper into the spy world of the Spy School book series. Teaching in a relaxed and conversational manner, I will be supporting the students' love of reading. Through interactive discussion and use of discussion questions, students will be prompted to think about what they have read, formulate their viewpoint on the book, and share their thoughts with the class. We will discuss the plot, as well as review reading comprehension, character development, vocabulary, descriptions, and the author's writing style. Fast facts on related history will be included. Finally, we will compare and contrast each book with the others we have read in the series and pick our individual favorites. All students are welcome on our book reading adventures and I can’t wait to hear your opinions on the books. I hope to see you in class!

The books we will be reading and discussing include:
Week 1: Book 5: Spy School Secret Service by Stuart Gibbs

Week 2: Book 6: Spy School Goes South by Stuart Gibbs

Week 3: Book 7: Spy School British Invasion by Stuart Gibbs

Week 4: Book 8: Spy School Revolution by Stuart Gibbs
