What's included
1 live meeting
1 in-class hours per weekClass Experience
In this ongoing weekly social club, participants will enjoy playing and discussing their favorite Nintendo superstars fighting game, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for Nintendo Switch. This club is suited for any type of player - from casual to competitive. Though not required, participants will have a better experience if they at least have a base knowledge for how to play. The way this class will work is, once participants join the Zoom meeting, I will share the ID and password for the Battle Arena I have created in the Zoom chat, so keep an eye out for that. I will provide instructions to everyone for how they can enter the Battle Arena. I will also post these instructions here below. Once everyone is ready to go, we will play for the remainder of the hour. The goal of this club is to have some safe, interactive fun over a game we are all passionate about. Participants should come to the club with a positive attitude and are expected to be respectful and show good-sportsmanship. They will not win every match and things won't always go their way. We will sometimes have to take turns adjusting the game rules to what the majority wants. I will do my best to make sure everyone has fun, but students should also try to maintain a good attitude. REQUIRED MATERIALS: - A Nintendo Switch or Switch Lite - Super Smash Bros. Ultimate - A subscription to Nintendo's online service - A stable (ideally high-speed) Internet connection INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOW TO ENTER THE BATTLE ARENA: 1. From the game's main menu, select "Online" 2. Select "Smash" 3. Select "Battle Arenas" 4. Select "Join Arena" 5. Select "Enter Arena ID" 6. Type in the ID provided in the Zoom chat 7. Type in the password provided in the Zoom chat 8. Once you join the room, you will be able to select your desired character and stage in the bottom right corner of the screen Before class, please make sure the participant's Nintendo Switch is charged and are able to access the online functions. Students should be familiar enough with the game that they are able to access the online features, choose their character, and participate in matches.
Learning Goals
Students will have the opportunity to interact with others and enjoy both playing and discussing Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. We will practice various strategies and learn together as we play.
