Class Experience
In this social club, students will meet other players close to their age and also get the chance to practice new strategies and ask questions about the game and characters. As they play together, we can learn from each other and form friendships.
I have been playing Super Smash bros ever since Melee back in 2007. I've played every new game since then. While I'm not a professional tier player, I know most of the game's ins and outs and am happy to share my knowledge with my students! I also attended a social club where we played Super Smash Bros. in college, so I am familiar with the best ways to keep gameplay fair, fun, and engaging for students.
In order to play the game and participate in class, students will need the following. -A Nintendo Switch -A copy of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate -A subscription to the Nintendo Switch Online Service Students may want to keep the charger nearby or make sure the device is fully charged before class.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
The ESRB has rated the game for everyone ages ten and up. The game received its rating due to cartoon violence, comic mischief, and suggestive themes.
