Class Experience

Current Season (1 month/4 weeks): Single Player/Per Team.
Note: Battle for experience points and claim the top seat in the class!

The main focus on this class is to teach students how to play video games safely online. Video games are becoming increasingly more common to have an online format. with this, it is important that young video game enthusiasts know the dangers of online play and more importantly, how to be safe/protect themselves. The secondary purpose of this class is sportsmanship while competing against other learners in online games. Life is full of wins and loses, how we manage those situations is a skill that needs to be learned and practiced often.

All of this will be taught and practiced through the medium of Super Smash Bros Ultimate on the Switch. Each game will be played for 1 month (1 season). At the end of the season, learners will get to decide which format we play next (teams, tournament, etc.)!

Hello! My name is Mr. Austin. I've been teaching for 6 years now and couldn't be more excited to continue this experience and expand into Outschool. I firmly believe that when we have a fun and enjoyable experience in the classroom, we can learn anything. From this, I make each class as fun as possible. I present abstract and advanced concepts into more relatable material for students to comprehend. My classroom will promote the pursuit of knowledge with engaging conversations and discussions. Some of my favorite topics to teach are mathematics, sports, science, social studies and more. So if you are ready to advance your knowledge, join me and let's go on an adventure!
