Class Experience

Are you a Nintendo gamer who loves Super Smash Bros Ultimate? This is the social club for you! In this class we will play Super Smash Bro's Ultimate together using Nintendo Online and the game's battle arena. All skill levels are welcome, but it would help if the student has a basic knowledge of how to play the game.

Each student will need their own Nintendo Switch, a copy of Super Smash Bros Ultimate game and a subscription to Nintendo online. Also in order to join the battle arena students will need to send me a friend request on the Nintendo Switch with the friend ID that I will provide upon enrollment. Please send me a friends request at least 20 minutes before the start of your first class to ensure that I get it and can accept it before class. Students are asked not to share their gaming profile name with each other for safety.

A max of 4 players can battle at any given time so for groups larger than 4 there will be a line in the battle arena to join games. Each game will only take a few minutes (2-4) so waits won't be very long. This will help students develop patients and taking turns. Students will not win every game and things may not always go there way but we expect good sportsmanship and congratulating and encouraging your opponents. This is a very important skill to learn for life.

To help make sure that classes run smoothly please, before class make sure the student's Nintendo Switch is charged, and able to connect to the internet as well as Nintendo online. Students should be familiar enough with the game that they are able to access the online features, choose their character, and participate in matches.

In order to join the class' online Battle Arena room:
1. From the game's main menu, choose "Online"
2. Choose "Smash"
3. Choose "Battle Arenas"
4. Choose "Join Arena"
5. Choose "Friends' Arenas"
6. Choose the arena with my name "Greg".
9. Once you join the battle arena, place your token in the middle of the arena if space available (4 players) or if the arena is full place your token in the waiting area. If you just want to watch you can place your token on the bench.

Whether you are a beginner or pro we will have a blast battling together. Come join us!
