Description
Class Experience
Join the Super Slime Club and make a new slime each week! We all love making slime, so get ready to make some new friends and make slime together! During class, we will make each slime together following step-by-step instructions that I will provide for you. We will learn all about polymers as well as build some amazing math skills with measurement and fractions! Daily Schedule: -Welcome Introduction & Greeting -Slime of the Day Introduction -Discuss Safety -Complete Slime recipe...
-Students will learn the science behind what makes each kind of slime. -Students will build upon their fine motor skills. -Students will be exposed to fractions and using them for measurement.
I have over 15 years experience working with elementary-age children.
Downloadable file will be available each week with instructions for each type slime if you would like to print them and remake them. Supplies we often use to make slime--each recipe is different: -Saline solution (contact solution) -Clear Glue -White School Glue -Baking soda -Liquid Starch -Shaving Cream -Corn Starch -Glitter -Food Coloring -Bowl -Spoon/Cake Spatula -Measuring cups *If you are storing all or any of the slimes, you will need storage containers with lids. I would suggest a cheap container from your local dollar store.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Students may need help with getting their supplies set up, measuring, using the microwave, and clean up. Note: Sometimes slime ingredients can cause an allergic reaction to the skin. If your child is allergic to any of the items that I have listed, please avoid using them. You are encouraged to use gloves during slime making to prevent contact of these ingredients with your skin.
