Our 10-week interactive class information can be found in our course syllabus. After our course, your learners will each receive a certificate of completion. You and your learners will also receive recommendations and steps for continuing to grow their science skills. Let's continue to create, educate, and inspire!
Learning Goals
We will learn about the following: Lifecycles, traits, weather/climate, forces, zoology, and begin body systems.
Syllabus
10 Lessons
over 10 WeeksLesson 1:
Lifecycles of Animals
We will explore several different animal lifecycles and compare these lifecycles (including stages). 60 mins online live lesson
Lesson 2:
Lifecycles of Flowering Plants
We will explore the lifecycles of flowering plants and how these plants make new plants. 60 mins online live lesson
Lesson 3:
Traits (part 1)
We will discuss traits of animals and how to match parents to offspring using these traits.
We will also explore inherited versus acquired traits. 60 mins online live lesson
Lesson 4:
Traits (part 2)
We will review the pedigree charts of both animals and plants. This class will have an interactive exploration activity where junior scientists become junior detectives in our genetic mystery. 60 mins online live lesson

Parental Guidance
Parents/guardians are welcome to assist and attend off-camera (if you wish to).
Supply List
A checklist will be sent over prior to our first session with materials required for specific parts of this course. During the course, please bring an eraser, paper, pencil, any materials provided by myself prior to the class, and, most important, yourself. You will do great!
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
