Description
Class Experience
Students will improve their understanding of the world around them through covering a variety of science topics week by week.
There will not be any required homework, but additional activities and/or experiment suggestions will be given to enhance the learning that takes place in class. These will be uploaded to the classroom each week.
Any printouts will be supplied on a weekly basis. Students may wish to come to class with a piece of paper if there are no handouts, and a pen or pencil. From time to time, I will post optional experiment ideas in the classroom too, which will have a list of supplies, the majority of which will be typically found around the home.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
- Nearpod
- DK Findout
Nearpod will be used to check what students have learned in the session.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
We will be referring to the dkfindout.com website for the curriculum material.
