Students will work together to solve the riddle associated with each escape room by answering a variety of science questions in themed content classes. Each class will center on a different science content strand. Students will be awarded a Certificate of Completion at the end of each class. Week of July 4: Locked in the Laboratory - Content will include science safety, science tools, measurement, and basic science procedures in a variety of lab scenarios. Week of July 11: The Forces are in Motion - This week's questions will be on force and motion - gravity, friction, inertia, and magnetism, both content and experimental design. **NO CLASS WEEK OF JULY 18 Week of July 25: Disaster! - Content strand will be natural disasters such as earthquakes, volanic eruptions, hurricanes, tornadoes, landslides, etc. Week of August 1 : Deep Underground - Earth science concepts such as cave formation, techtonic plate movement, types of rocks and the rock cycle, weathering, erosion, and deposition. Week of August 8: Lost in Space - Space science questions about the Sun/Earth/Moon system, planets, solar system, and objects in space. Week of August 15 Zootopia - Animal science including adaptations, environments, types of species, food chains and webs, and life cycles. Week of August 22: Desert Wanders - Ecosystems, adaptations, food chains and webs, weather and climate. Week of May 16: Ocean Mystery - Marine science, water cycle, environments, adaptations Week of May 23: Space Adventures - Space science, compare Sun, Earth, and Moon, planets, characteristics of planets and Sun Week of May 30: Strangers in the Science Lab - Physical science, experimental design, science safety and tools.
