In this ongoing class we will work 3 days a week on math strategies for 2 digit addition and subtraction, skip counting, telling time, money, even and odd numbers and many other math skills as the student progresses.

Description

Class Experience

The student will work on various math skills such as adding, subtracting, telling time, money, multiplication, shapes, patterns and much more.  We will use several different manipulatives and strategies to build confidence and a love for math. The student will work one-on-one  3 days a week with the teacher on math using interactive slides, video clips, songs, drawings, math manipulatives and games. The teacher will assess the students current math skills and build math lessons to improve...

The student will improve math skills in the topics that are taught.
The student will use manipulatives, songs, games, drawings, interactive slides and video clips to learn math concepts.

It would be helpful to have a math box with the following items:
playdoh 
blocks
cereal
paper 
pencils

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:Nearpod

The student will be given an entry level assessment and then occasional assessments to monitor growth.

1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
