Class Experience

In this intermediate knitting class, learners will be introduced to three common stitch patterns, and will discuss and learn about when and why they are used. Learners should have a basic foundation in how to cast on, work the knit and purl stitches, and know how to cast off.
In this course, we will explore the ways that we can combine these simple stitches to create different effects in our knitting. We will be working from a pattern drafted exclusively for this course by the instructor.
In our first session, we will cast on our projects, and introduce the garter and stockinette stitches
In our second session we will introduce the rib knit stitch
In our third session, we will work through our knitting and trouble shoot any issues.
In our fourth session, we will cast off our work and discuss the different effects of each stitch.
