Class Experience

Learning Goals:
My goal for students registered in this class is to be able to read with accuracy words in the an, at, ap, et, in, it, op, ot, un, & ed families. My goal is for students to know how to replace the onset and change the word. Furthermore, I want students to be comfortable with rhyming and reading CVC words! I hope to see you soon in my classroom!
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and am certified to teach Pre-K to 5th grade. I am also currently pursuing my master's degree in Early Childhood Education. Addionally, I have 2 years experience in Pre-K-1st grade classrooms teaching phonics.
Homework assigned during 5th lesson: Students will create 3 nine square bingo boards for lesson six's Phonics Bingo!
Materials: 1. Pen or Marker 2. Mini White Board OR Blank Paper
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
At the end of our 2 week unit I will email each parent with how their student did in learning. I will keep a chart of each word family and will let each parent know what their student excelled at and what they may be struggling with so they can keep practicing at home. I will have an informal assessment sheet that I will send out with notes for parents or guardians.
1 hour 45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
