Students will have an idea of what music is, what kinds of music there are, how it's written and read, how it's played (using a keyboard and singing), and a repertoire of four traditional songs on keyboard. Being next to a piano or keyboard is recommended, but a printed paper keyboard is also okay for this class; student can learn and practice on paper keyboard and try on a real instrument after class, too. The paper keyboard is "voice-activated." :) A paper keyboard will be provided on the classroom post. It should be downloaded and printed by all students, and colored in before class, to use as a reference. After class is completed, students may choose to continue studying keyboard music with Teacher Leigh as private students.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
All materials are teacher's original work, also including other materials in the Public Domain. These are uploaded to the classroom post page before and after class for the student to download and print for use in during class and for practice later.
