A computer virus has taken over at Amplified Finance and $3 million has been stolen! Can you solve the mystery before it's too late?! This digital mystery will keep students engaged and excited about learning. Innovative and fun, students won't even know they're learning! Students will go through and escape room type challenge where they will use clues to solve a mystery. The mystery is called "The Virus" and involves a computer virus that has infiltrated a company's computer system. This style of learning is great for: -Team work: discussion and collaboration -Critical thinking: figuring out how the clues fit together -Inferencing: "reading between the lines" -Reading Comprehension: Some clues require reading and using comprehension skills -Time Management: Students only have 45 minutes to complete the task before time runs out -Attention to detail: If you don't look closely, you might miss something important. Students will learn through a virtual online platform that will require them to perform different activities to access the clues and put them together like a puzzle. Students will work together to come up with a solution. Part of the task is agreeing on a theory. Once students agree on the theory, it will be put to the test. Discussion questions will also be used to wrap up the session.
Learning Goals
Students will learn how to use their inferencing, critical thinking, and reading comprehension skills.
