Beginner Level
We will explore the beauty of watercolor and create layers of color for our hills and flowers. Students will learn to use soft and hard edges and achieve light and shadow. We will discuss what colors to begin a watercolor with, and how to achieve a translucence with color. We will have some basic colors to use and mixing colors will be encouraged. A little color theory is always thrown into the lesson. My teaching style is to give enough instruction to keep everyone on track while letting each person's individuality be expressed as well.
Learning Goals
Create a bright sky and fields with flowers using watercolors.
