In this ongoing class, learners will practice their descriptive writing and short story writing abilities by writing a story about a given image. They will also have the opportunity to practice presenting in front of a group, if they feel comfortable by reading their story to the class. Learners may wish to keep these writings in a journal as a way to look at how their writing skills improve over time. These classes do not build upon each other, therefore each class is a stand alone class. Learners may enroll or un-enroll as often as they like. This class will focus more on allowing the learners to have time to write their stories and less on the teaching of short story writing. There is no set schedule that this class follows, as each class is focused on sharpening the same skills (descriptive writing and short story writing). There will be no change in skills practiced. Learners may have their writing checked for improvement suggestions if they submit a copy to me. However it must be a scanned document, downloaded document, typed document etc. I cannot properly check a writing that is just held up to the camera during class. All checking of writings will take place outside of class time to ensure class time is used for writing and presenting. **I do not cancel due to low enrollment**
Learning Goals
Learners will be practicing their descriptive and short story writing skills and learning ways to improve on those skills.
