In this watercolor camp, beginning artists will complete two summer themed watercolor projects.
Class experience
Calling all artists! Have you ever wanted to try watercolor? Join me in this directed art class where we paint a sunny beach scene and an underwater scene. You don't need to have any experience with watercolor, but if you do, that's great too! We'll start by identifying the basic shapes in our paintings and lightly sketch them on our paper. Then we will use our paints to create these beautiful images. Once the paint is dry, we'll go back in and add details to finish the project. If time...
Students will need a piece of watercolor or plain white construction paper for each class. I cut my pages into four 4.5 x 6 inch rectangles, but your learner can use any size they like. Students will also need a set of watercolor paints, a paintbrush, a little dish of water, a napkin, and a black marker. I use a fine tip Sharpie, but any marker will work.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
