Summer Spelling Camp: Hand's on High Frequency Words - Fun Way to Blend and Read
In this hands-on class (playdough, magnetic letters, string, beads), I'll show learners how to blend two and three letter sounds to make words. We'll use those sounds to understand the phonetics and pronunciation of each blend and word.

Class Experience
Join me for this exciting class, where the standards for learning how to read and spell are exceeded. We will use lots of different materials such as, clay, string, magnetic letters, construction paper, dry-erase markers, boards and more to learn how to blend and spell new words. Students will learn how to use the techniques to assist with memorization, spelling and pronunciation of high frequency words.
I have a Bachelor's degree in education, with 13 years of teaching experience. I have 5 years of experience tutoring children in ELA. I have an exceptional vocabulary and enjoy the subject of language development and phonetics. I am also a certified ESL teacher, and will employ skills such as TPR, props and accurate pronunciation into our tutoring sessions.
Worksheets may be provided periodically for students to work outside of class.
