Description
Class Experience
This course introduces students to basic speech and debate skills and formats. On day 1, students will be given a format to use for any traditional speech. Students will be shown examples of how the format works and then be given the opportunity to present the format to the teacher. On day 2, students will learn the importance of a solid performance and receive a four step process for a successful delivery. Students will learn and develop formats and skills for writing argumentative essays, Debate cases, and informative, persuasive, and impromptu style speeches in a fun zoom camp environment.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Students will receive instant oral feedback from the instructor. Students will receive at least two statements emphasizing what they did well and two statements emphasizing what they can do to improve the next time.
4 hours per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
