Welcome! In this weekly ongoing course students are welcome to hang out and interact with their peers while showing off their talents and getting to know one another. This is a great social club to join for my previous students and any new student that would like to make some new friends and get to know me! I am a Spanish teacher here on Outschool and I have noticed that by the end of my semesters my students have made friends with one another are sad to see their time together come to an end. Due to this I have decided that it would be really fun to create a safe space where everyone feels special, valued and super talented, while connecting with peers in a supportive atmosphere. Each week we will meet for 35 minutes and students will have the platform to express their interests, connect, learn and even brag a little! We will start the class each week with an uplifting music video to get a good vibe going and I will intentionally choose videos that are all inclusive and clean. Next I will ask if anyone has any fun news or has any plans for the week. At this point I have noticed that students are good at taking the lead and carrying on the conversation. We will continue this conversation for about the first 15 minutes of class and after that we will continue on to the sharing portion of class. For the last portion of the club students will share their talents, keepsakes and stories based on our weekly topic. Students will be able to sign up ahead of time to be guaranteed a spot to share, some examples of sharings could be playing music, a drawing, a souvenir, a toy, a creation, a pet, a sibling and more! There will be 5 guaranteed spots each week and afterwards more students can share if time allows. Depending on the class size the time duration of the club may vary from 35-45 minutes. I am very excited to host this club, meet new students and see friendships grow! Please see the weekly schedule below, after week 10 the topics will repeat. *No meeting the week of July 4th Week of 5/8 - Artwork Week of 5/15 - Music Week of 5/22 - Gaming Week of 5/29 - Disney/Movies/Television Week of 6/5 - Food Week of 6/12 - Sports Week of 6/19 - Vacations/traveling Week of 6/26 - Pets Week of 7/10 - Talents/Student Creations Week of 7/17 - Hobbies

Teacher expertise and credentials
Master's Degree in Education from University Of Akron
Hola beautiful people! I am here to teach Spanish classes of all levels, as well as Cultural Anthropology (focusing on Latin America). I have my masters in Spanish ED (k12), a Bachelors Degree in Spanish as well as Anthropology, a Masters Certificate in Latin American Studies, a Certificate in Medical Interpreting (Spanish), and a level 5 TEFL Certificate to teach English as a second language. I am passionate about education and I love being able to pass it on to anyone willing to learn. I feel that by teaching culture and language I can help bridge the cultural gap we sometimes experience in todays world. Along with teaching I love working with the Spanish speaking community, crafting, spending time with my family and loving nature! I dream of one day living in an RV and traveling the world to eventually retire in Central America. I hope to see you soon!
