Break time! Have your child take a break and meet new friends. Your child will be able to practice social skills by engaging in age-appropriate conversation that will be facilitated by me. As a Resource Room/Inclusion teacher, I have worked with children with mild-moderate learning disabilities and I have always valued the importance of creating opportunities for my students to develop healthy social relationships with peers. Many of my students had IEP goals centered around improving social skills with peers in the classroom. If you would like to schedule an individualized or small homeschool group session for your child, please feel free to contact me. My schedule is flexible. Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi! I am Mrs. Williams. I am passionate about education. I believe that every child can reach his/her full potential. I love designing lessons that help unleash that potential in all types of learners.
I am currently a New York certified teacher with 15 years of teaching experience in a traditional setting (grades 6-12). I have taught social studies and I am also certified in special education (mild-learning disabilities) with an emphasis on reading and writing skills, study skills and basic math. I also speak Spanish so I can work with ESL students. I incorporate hands-on activities and technology in my lesson plans. I am available to provide individualized tutoring. I love providing differentiated instruction that addresses the unique learning styles of my students.
In my spare time, I love spending time with my family, especially my 8 year old son. We enjoy being outdoors and exploring upstate New York’s beautiful hiking trails. I love cooking, reading and talking to friends and family. I also love traveling to visit family members throughout the United States. I am excited about teaching for Outschool and helping children in their educational journey.
