In this class we will review the math skills needed to be successful going into the new school year. We will practice addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, rounding and estimation, place value and decimals, fractions, and more! I have 20 years experience teaching, and I know what concepts students need to master in order to achieve academic success. I use a simple, step-by-step approach, using engaging activities for all learning styles. This class covers a lot of concepts in a fun and relaxing atmosphere. I promise you will have fun learning Math today!

Supply List
Since this is a Summer class, I have made it very easy for the parents. I will complete all the activities in class, so you do not need to print out anything for class. All your child will need are a few sheets of paper and a pencil. This will be remediated instruction.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Math anxiety is a common problem for many students. I have seen it so many times in the classroom. It does not need to be! I teach Math with a simple, step-by-step approach, using a variety of engaging activities for all learning styles, and I have had great success with my students. I create a positive and relaxed environment for learning where students are comfortable. Children learn that they are free to ask questions, and yes, it is okay to make mistakes. Sometimes we learn most from the mistakes we make. I have been teaching K-6 grades for almost 20 years, and I have been a personal tutor for over ten. I believe all children can learn, and I work hard to meet all students needs. Learning is made fun in my classroom and students will find success, with academics, and building their confidence too.
