In this Summer singing camp students will learn how to warm up their voices, sing healthy from their diaphragm and with confidence.  They will learn fun songs from this current running Broadway musical, "The Wiz".  The Wiz is an adaptation of "The Wizard of Oz" and is full of original songs with Motown influences that give the classic story soul, emotion and energy.  At the start of the class students will warm up their voices properly and learn vocal exercises.  Each week we will add on fun vocal warmups and exercises.  We will also explore the following each week:

1) Breathing From Diaphragm
2) Airflow
3) Singing on vowels
4) Vibrato vs. Straight Tones
5) Diction
6) Singing on Pitch (Ear Training)
7) Singing with confidence 

We will apply the above vocal techniques to various songs from the hit Broadway musical, "The Wiz".  (A modern adaptation of "The Wizard of Oz")

Lyrics and tracks will be provided.  Each songbird will have the opportunity to sing a solo if they'd like.
This is a class with no pressure, just fun........
