Class Experience

This class is part of an on-going series. There are NO live meetings for this class. The weekly videos will be posted in the classroom so you can view it at your convenience!

Overview: These quick lessons will teach the alphabet to a beginning reader. In this course, students will be learning how to match sounds to the letters that represent them. We will start out each class by reviewing the ABC's. Then, we will move...

Students can sing the alphabet.
Students can say the alphabet.
Students can track the alphabet.
Students can identify letters Bb, Gg, Mm, Nn, Rr, Ss, Tt presented in random order.
Students can identify sounds Bb, Gg, Mm, Nn, Rr, Ss, Tt presented in random order.
Students will be able to read sight-words the, of, and, a, to, in, is
Students will be able to track memorized text.

I am highly-qualified, highly-effective public school teacher. I have been teaching Lower elementary for the past 5 years.

If the student is not fluent after a lesson, they can always practice the lesson again until it becomes more automatic.

I will be supplying all of the necessary materials for the course.

I will be available to support, give feedback, and make suggestions every step of the way!

No live meetings, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.

If you child seems to be struggling with certain sounds, please let me know. Sometimes this is a simple fix, sometimes there is an underlying speech issue that must be addressed.
