Class Experience

As a Homeschool Mom of 4 Teens - I know the importance of Socialization and allowing Tween/ Teens ample time to make connections with their peers. I love to facilitate these relationships, by offering Fun Facts, Weather Check-Ins, Pop Culture Updates, Sports Updates, Current Events, Logic Puzzles and More interactive fun + conversation starters.

Homeroom is meant to provide a healthy start to the day or a mid-day pick me up by chatting with friends in a friendly, safe space. Since this class is open to all learners, we will learn to navigate various personalities by finding common ground and forming bonds by getting to know one another through 'Getting To Know You,' sessions. Students are encouraged, but not required to participate and can do so the their level of comfortability.

A typical Summer morning meetup will consist
5-6 of the following -

1- Greeting/Intros (Public Speaking)
2- Weather Check-in (Science)
3- Current Events ( Social Studies)
4- Word of the Day ( Vocab Studies)
5- Show and Tell ( Creative Studies)
6- Location check in ( Geography)
7- Draw about it ( Art)
8- Song of the Day ( Music)
9- Pet Show and Tell ( Science)
10 - Brain Teasers, Would You Rather

We will use Slides, clips, and music to create an atmosphere of inclusivity and camaraderie.

* Students are welcome to keep cameras on/off, while it is amazing to see their faces - I totally understand that not every student is comfortable with this and that is ok here.
* This class is flexible and will tailored to suit the learners likes and interests.
* This class is ok to take in the Car, while munching on a snack or laying in bed - Come as you are!
